MACHINE MONITORING AND ALARMS
The NP-500 Series Tablet Press is equipped with many advanced safety features, including:
Emergency stop buttons.
A stack light on top of the press for easy condition verification.
Hopper low-level sensors, with user defined shutdown delay, monitor low granulation levels.

OPERATOR INTERFACE
The NP-500 is controlled through a user-friendly touch-screen, mounted on a stainless steel control panel. The interface allows product-specific parameters to be stored as recipes, capable of recall at anytime. For protection, programmed security locks out unauthorized modifications of product recipes, machine settings and stored data.

VFD PRODUCTION
The NP-500 provides sophisticated production capabilities, such as a 15hp variable frequency drive (VFD), which controls turret speed while maintaining constant torque. This allows the press to deliver the highest quality tablets. To produce consistently accurate tablets, feeder speed and weight control automatically adjust, keeping the tablets within parameters defined by the user. In addition, automatic forced feeders provide more accurate fill for difficult flowing powders. To prevent overproduction, and reduce press runtime, a batch counter automatically shuts down the press at a user determined tablet quantity. An optional reject gate discards out-of-spec tablets. Engineering units are user selectable between Metric and English.
INCREASE TABLET SIZE AND WEIGHT
Providing precise control, the filling depth and tablet thickness are servo-motor controlled. The deep fill design increases both tablet size and weight, ideal for high compression ratio products. The increased die height design provides 100% more fill than the standard “B” die and 69% more fill than the standard "D" die.
EXTEND COMPRESSION DWELL TIME
The increased head flat diameter extends compression dwell time dramatically, reducing the need for pre-compression. The head flat diameter is 160% larger than standard “B” tooling and 56% larger than standard "D" tooling.
IMPROVED HOPPER DESIGN
The NP-500 features an enhanced oversized hopper design with butterfly valves, improving granulation flow control. This new design effectively seals the compression zone for a cleaner operation.
